Worker’s Participation in Management: concept, forms, problems, Pre-requisites for success of Workers participation in Management.

Industrial Conflicts: Concept, Causes and impact, Classification of conflicts, Trends in Industrial Disputes in India; Strikes, Lockouts, Gherao, Lay off.

Discipline: Management of Discipline in Industry, Approaches of Discipline, Standing orders(concept)

Machinery for prevention of Industrial Disputes: Model Standing order, Code of Industrial Discipline, Labour Welfare Officer, Tri-Partie Body, Employee Grievance: concept, Employee Grievance Redressal System

Machinery for settlement of Industrial Disputes: Dispute settlement procedure, Conciliation, Arbitration and Adjudication, Courts of Enquiry

Nature Scope and process of Collective Bargaining, Collective Bargaining in India

Social Security:  Concept, Scope , Evolution & Growth of Social Security Legislation in India, Social Security measures in India, ILO & Social Security, Some general social security schemes of the Government (MGNREGA & National Social Assistance Programme), Unorganized Workers Social Security Act, 2008.

Laws relating to social security in India:  Main Provisions of - The Workmen Compensation Act, 1923, Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948, The Maternity Benefit (Amendments) bill, 2016, Payment of Gartuity Act, 1972, The Employees’ Provident Fund & Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952, Child Labour (Prohibition & Regulation), Act , 1986
